FLIBS returns bigger and better for the 63rd yacht show
FLIBS 2022 proved its might in numbers for the 63rd edition of the world’s largest in-water boat show. Thousands of yachting guests attended the first FLIBS event, finally free of covid-induced restrictions. For TJB Super Yachts the show was an opportunity to join our USA yacht brokers and clients and step onboard a wide variety of yachts for sale and charter.

“FLIBS22 was extremely well attended by our boating community and industry greats. Many of our clients joined us at the yacht show, and you could feel their excitement. FLIBS was an opportunity to view the latest in yacht design, a wide variety of yachts for charter and new-build yachts, as well as pre-owned yachts for sale.” – Nicole Haboush, Senior Charter Broker Manager
A STRONG YEAR FOR THE U.S. YACHTING MARKET
There was a notable absence of Russian yachting clients this year. Much of this space has been taken by the American market, and the exceptional fleet at FLIBS 2022 gave our prospective yacht owners in the U.S. an overview of new-build and pre-owned superyachts for purchase.
After the devastation of Hurricane Ian, which flattened much of Florida’s coastline in September, many local yacht owners were looking for boating products to repair yachts damaged by the storm. Exhibitors reported an all-time high in sales of boating products.
For our Senior Charter Broker, Nicole Haboush, St. Martin, St. Barts and Nassau are the top destinations for her charter bookings this season. Nicole has also seen increased interest in catamarans in the U.S. Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands. She’s looking ahead to a busy season for yacht charters in the Caribbean and Bahamas.
NEW DESIGN YACHT CONCEPTS
Ocean Alexander 36m 37L Legend stood out to Nicole Haboush. Three spacious decks are filled with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows. The elegant yacht design is suited for long stays on board, and she loved the touch of contemporary innovation and forward thinking.
